I've recently been playing with http://www.psyced.org/ cause I wanted to setup a jabber server for use with some friends, but I never quite got jabberd to work the way it was intended. By chance I came across psyc again recently and decided to give it a try.

I'm pretty impressed with it, it was pretty easy to install and start using (via the irc/jabber interfaces). It doesn't use a standard configure script to setup/install, but the shell script it ships with ran fine. The test server is currently hosted at psyc://sgenomics.org (or irc://sgenomics.org or xmpp://sgenomics.org)

Now to turn on TLS encryption!
